This application was initially designed for the iPhone X, but will also be launched for most major iOS and Android devices. This app will diagnose a user’s device, inform them of any hardware or software issues, and how to upgrade their device (if needed).
The UI and color scheme are used to separate the experiences the users have throughout the app: red for the diagnostics and questionnaire, white for the purchasing/upgrading. They are very different goals while in the app, so some visual separation was needed.
HARDWARE IDENTIFICATION | This application will scan your hardware to determine specifications and the best steps to take based on your hardware.
HARDWARE TESTS | Once the hardware has been determined, the user will complete a set of button and screen tests to determine the health and functionality of the device.
ADDITIONAL HARDWARE QUESTIONS | Some of the device’s information simply cannot be determined by software; this is when the application will ask the user a couple short questions to gain further knowledge.
SELECT NEW DEVICE FOR UPGRADE | This will begin the in-app ecommerce experience for the users. The app will show eligible devices to select from. Once a device type is selected, the user will be able to pick the options for their new device.
SELECT PICKUP OR DELIVERY | Once a device and payment type has been selected, the user will be able to have the device delivered or to pick it up from an authorized partner.
ENTER INFO AND SELECT PAYMENT | Once the user has selected a device and scheduled a time to pickup and trade-in, the remaining checkout steps will be address info, payment selection, and confirmation.
